Accepting APPLICATIONS FOR STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE
Please apply to be the student representative to our board of directors!
The SC ABA Student representative is a 2 year-long appointed position on the SC ABA board. Candidates must be enrolled in a graduate level ABA-related degree or certificate program at the time of appointment. As an appointed position, the student representative does not hold voting privileges. Nominations* of others and self-nominations are welcome!
The student representative, with direction and oversight of a current board member, may:
Collaborate with the board on issues of state chapter policies, procedures, & interactions.
Collaborate statewide with universities and their students.
Hold the responsibility to represent the interests & needs of the association’s student members by communicating ideas & concerns to the board.
Act as a student ambassador to promote SCABA’s efforts through regular communication with the student membership,
Hold the responsibility of supporting conference planning & implementation; potentially including and not limited to marketing to student members & universities, assisting with the poster session, etc.
Time commitment: Participate in weekly/bi-weekly board meeting calls, scheduled during business hours Monday-Friday, Participate in quarterly in-person board member meetings, Allocate approximately 10 hours of discretionary time each month for volunteer position
