Ethics Committee Chair Application - 2022

WE NEED AN ETHICS CHAIR!

Please apply to be the Chair of the SC ABA Ethics Committee!

The Ethics Committee Chair will lead the ethics committee in supporting SC ABA Membership with ethical dilemmas, and providing continuing education opportunities.  This is a two-year appointed term. Nominations* of others and self-nominations are welcome!

Essential Duties:

The Ethics Committee Chair, with direction and oversight of a current board member, may:

• Develop Committee mission and objectives yearly and address in each meeting

• Offer minimum of 2 opportunities per year for CEUs for SC ABA Membership; Complete CEU syllabus when applicable

• Hold and lead regularly scheduled ethics committee meetings.  

• Monitor, use, and respond to anonymous ethics portal submission in regularly scheduled ethics committee meetings.

• Be a member in good standing with SC ABA

• BCBA or BCBA-D in Good Standing with the BACB with at least 5 years experience as BCBA

• SC Resident & will reside in SC for duration of term

• Approximately 4-6 hours of discretionary time each month for volunteer position

• Experience using the Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts to guide decision making for Ethical dilemmas
